Samsung Smart Camera NX3000 20.3 Megapixel & 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 PZ Lens Kit (Black) Review

WOW
===
I'm amazed with this camera. As of November 2014 for less than three hundred pound you get an awful lot.

SAMSUNG
=======
To be fair I wasn't expecting much. The likes of Nikon, Sony and Fuji have made cameras for years, whereas Samsung seem to be more well know for their phones, TVs and fridge freezers. (Well they are in our house anyway.) But as they are the new kid on the block with their cameras they really have produced a gem.

RETRO STYLING
=============
The NX3000 sports a very fetching "retro" styling. A smart, plastic body on a metal frame with a faux leather texture. This helps with holding the camera in place.

INTERCHANGEABLE LENS
====================
Mine came with a 16-50 lens which is lovely. Additional lenses (compared with other manufacturers) aren't too expensive.

WIFI
====
I've had wifi on other cameras Sony DSCHX60 Compact Digital Camera with Wi-Fi and NFC - Black ( 20.4MP, 30x Optical Zoom) and they've been OK. On this it's superb! Flawless in fact.

PHOTOS
======
The camera looks good. Does it take nice photos? Oh yes it does. Rich and detailed. Good in low light too. It can also take about 6 shots per second. I thought that was fast.

OUT IN THE FIELD
================
In fields or elsewhere, it handles well, very good auto focus, and really responsive

EXTERNAL CHARGER
================
No. You have to charge it whilst in the camera. Not a dealbreaker for me but I prefer them separate.

MICRO SD
========
It uses the small cards. Kingston 16 GB Class 10 MicroSD Flash Card SDC10/16GBSP

SELFIE MODE
===========
Although it takes professional photos the display is able to be turned for those "selfie moments". I quite liked it.

OVERALL
=======
Looks nice, takes superb photos and is good value. It has plenty of features and the performance is amazing. I'll continue using this and will update the review in a few months.

RECOMMENDED
===========
Yep. Good colour, tone and detail.
